Electrodeionization systems
Systems with a combination of reverse osmosis and electrodeionization (EDI) are used for the continuous, complete desalination of softened or hardness-stabilized drinking water.
Our standard systems are ready for operation on a stainless steel base frame with individual height-adjustable feet are installed for leveling.
The reverse osmosis systems have a 5 µm pre-filter made of foamed PP, a high-pressure stainless steel centrifugal pump, and low-pressure winding modules. Among other things, the flows for permeate, dilute, concentrate, retentate, and concentrate recirculation, the inlet pressure, the pump pressure, the operating pressure, the concentrate pressure, as well as the conductivity in the permeate and in the dilute, are displayed. The systems are equipped with an automatic flushing solenoid valve made of stainless steel as a standard. On request, the low-pressure piping can be made of PVC, PE, PP, or even stainless steel.
The control and operating elements are mounted in an easily accessible manner. The control is carried out via a convenient automation module (small PLC) with display. It is equipped as standard with extensive functions such as:
- Automatic start/stop via level sensors
- Automatic flushing (with timer if system is shut down)
- Conductivity monitoring in permeate and dilute
- Water shortage
- Current control for the EDI module
- Optional: Hardness control in the inlet
