Filter Systems
Depending on the application, different filter systems are used. The most common use cases are:
- Particle removal
- Iron and manganese removal
- Deacidification
Particle removal
Depending on the application (water quality, volume flow), various techniques are used for particle removal. For smaller volume flows and low particle loads, melt-blown filter cartridges are often used, for larger volume flows and large particle loads, filter containers with inert filter material such as filter sand are usually used.
Iron/Manganese removal
Filter systems for iron removal and demanganization are often used in the treatment of groundwater to drinking water. The initially dissolved iron and manganese are oxidized in order to be separated in particulate form in filter systems.
Deacidification
The deacidification filter is used to bind free carbonic acid from well water and the permeate of a reverse osmosis system. For this purpose, the water is filtered through an alkaline filter media.
