Water Recycling for Industrial Wastewater

In many areas of industrial manufacturing, wastewater is produced that can be contaminated with various pollutants such as heavy metals, fats and oils, or other organic compounds. Depending on the type of wastewater and the desired goal of water recycling, pollutants and contaminants can be removed and the water treated using  various water treatment processes. Suitable processes for treating industrial wastewater include neutralization of acidic or alkaline waters, flocculation,  precipitation, or ion exchange to remove heavy metals, and biological processes to reduce COD and organic loads in the wastewater. Energy recovery from hot wastewater streams is also part of water recycling.

In neutralization, the pH value of the water is adjusted by adding acids or alkalis. To control the process, a measurement and control system is installed that monitors and automatically adjusts the dosing technology.

For the removal of heavy metals, the processes of flocculation and precipitation are used, among others, in which the precipitated flocs are withdrawn from the system as sludge.  Other options for the removal of heavy metals are the use of membrane processes, selective ion exchangers, or special adsorbents.

The process of water recycling allows the treated water to be returned to the production cycle. The savings in fresh water and wastewater costs not only make this method sustainable but also help reduce operating costs. Heat recovery from hot or warm wastewater using heat exchangers is just as economical as it is environmentally friendly.

WEIL Water Treatment offers you a wide range of water treatment processes and helps you to ensure that your production processes run smoothly, that your production is environmentally friendly, and that you comply with legal requirements.

A cooperation with WEIL Water Treatment offers you the following benefits:

  • Reduction of operating costs
  • Reliable compliance with official regulations
  • Service for all aspects of plant technology and water quality

Further information on water recycling can be found on our homepage under services. For an inventory and to test suitable treatment processes, we offer the services of water analysis and pilot testing at your site. If you are interested in a consultation on your specific situation, please contact us.

Our team of engineers and technicians will accompany you from the very beginning

Inventory

We come to you! For the inventory and an on-site inspection, we will come by your place.

Water analysis

Whether it is softening, reverse osmosis, or adsorption on activated carbon - whichever method it is, a detailed analysis of the raw or wastewater is the basis of the further planning.

Reverse Osmosis System

Pilot test

A pilot test serves as the basis for the selection of the method and the dimensioning of the cleaning system. Weil Wasserbehandlung GmbH offers pilot tests, including measurement campaigns, at your site.

Evaluation and reporting

The results of the preliminary tests provide an objective basis for the decision on the optimal design of the water treatment.

We manufacture softening systems with individual valve control on an individual basis and according to your specifications

Water treatment plant

After a successful consultation, you will receive a made-to-measure offer for a water treatment system suitable for your requirements.

Delivery, installation and commissioning

The prefabricated system parts are delivered, assembled on site and put into operation by our engineers and technicians - also internationally.

Maintenance and repair service

Regular service with maintenance and repair work by our service technicians make our offer complete for you.

We are happy to advise you.

We advise you according to your specific requirements and develop together with you tailor-made solutions for the treatment of process and drinking water as well as industrial wastewater treatment. Contact us or fill out our questionnaire right away. We are looking forward to your inquiry!
